The purpose of the "Rental Policies" page is to inform our customers so that there are no "surprises" when they arrive at the rental counter. Our goal is to provide a smooth rental process so that our customers will get their stay in the Tomah area off to a positive start. Area Pickups
Customers who are renting vehicles from our office will need to phone the individual office where they have reserved a car and arrange a pickup time after they have arrived at their hotel. Our office offers complimentary pickup service between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays and most major holidays. Please call in advance to arrange a pick up if you are not certain of our pick up times.
All reservations made for vehicles will be held for a period of one hour after the reserved time. After one hour, we will not guarantee the rate or availability of the reserved vehicle. Please give us a call if you know that you are going to be late and need us to hold on to your car past the one hour grace period so that your reservation does not get cancelled.

Vehicle Availability
While it is always our goal to honor every reservation with the exact car type reserved, occasionally; due to circumstances beyond our control (accidents, for example), the reserved vehicle may not be available. When these situations occur, Showroom Shine Rental's policy is to give our customers a more expensive vehicle at no additional cost.
Pictures of vehicles are for example purposes only. We do not guarantee any specific make, model, color or engine type.

Special Reserve Vehicles
Special Reserve vehicles are those which are limited in quantity and, especially during peak periods, may not be available all dates. Please call us for availability of specific dates.

International Renters
All valid national and international driver's licenses are accepted. All renters who live outside of the United States or Canada are required to full coverage insurance.

Fuel
Please return with the same level of fuel as was in the vehicle when you rented it to avoid refueling charges. We charge $3.50 per gallon for any fuel discrepancies within the nearest 1/8 gallon.

Cancellation Requirements
At least two full days (48hrs) notice must be given in order to cancel a rental without being subject to a $50.00 service charge.
All reservations made for vehicles will be held for a period of one hour after the reserved time. After one hour, we will not guarantee the rate or availability of the reserved vehicle. Please give us a call if you know that you are going to be late and need us to hold on to your car past the one hour grace period so that your reservation does not get cancelled.

Liability Coverage
We do not provide liability coverage except as reqired by Wisconsin State law. Any such coverage is excess over any other collectible insurance, whether primary, excess or contingent and is subject to all the terms, conditions and restrictions of Wisconsin State law and the insurance certificate filed thereunder.

You or the auhorized driver of the rented vehicle must immediately report any accident to Showroom Shine and deliver to us or our insurer every process, pleading, notice or paper of any kind relating to any claim, suit or proceeding recieved by you or an authorized driver in connection with any accident or event involving Showroom Shine Auto Rental's vehicle. You and any authorized driver will be required to cooperate fully with us and our insurer in investigating and (where applicable) defending any such claim, suit or proceeding. Matters to which such liability insurance coverage shall not apply include, without limitation:

(1) to any obligation for which you or any authorized driver of the Showroom Shine vehicle may be hield liable under any worker's compensation or disability benefits or similar loss;

(2) to any obligation assumed by you or any driver under any expres or implied contract;

(3) to any liability of your or any driver, or any employee of either, arising while the vehicle is being used in violation of any of the limitations set forth under the Prohibited Use guidelines.

(4) unless otherwise required by law, to medical payments required by persons sustaining injuries while riding or alighting from or getting into or on the Showroom Shine rental vehicle.

Courtesy
We always try to conduct ourselves in a professional manner and expect our customers to extend the same courtesy. We reserve the right to refuse to rent to any customer that is loud or abusive in any way.

Military or Senior Citizen Discounts
As a token of our appreciation for the brave service performed daily by our country's men and women in uniform, Showroom Shine Auto Rentals has created a discount code to be used by active military that entitles them to a 10% discount off of their rentals. We also offer a 10% discount to senior citizens at or above the age of 65 years. In order to receive this discount, please let our staff know if you are reserving your vehicle in advance, and bring positive proof of your active service or license with birthdate when you arrive at the rental counter.

No Other Discounts Apply
The rates listed on this site are lower than rates you may obtain from our offices directly because no employees are involved in the automated process of issuing a quote or making a reservation. No other discounts or coupons unless they are obtained from this site apply.

Age Requirements
Minimum Age: 21
Showroom Shine Auto Rentals charges the same underage fee for drivers under 25 years of age and drivers over 21 years old (minimum age 21). Drivers that live in the United States or Canada must provide proof of their own full coverage personal insurance that will transfer to the vehicle they are renting in order to rent a car.

Additional Drivers
2 additional drivers permitted
Minimum Age for Additional Drivers: 21
For those customers who require more than one additional driver, we do not charge an additional fee. You are allowed up to two additional drivers. A $50 surcharge or $4.99/day per driver surcharge (whichever is more) will be assessed to rental contracts where it is found that an unauthorized driver has driven the vehicle.

Driving Area Restrictions
We provide unlimited mileage within the state of Wisconsin, Minnesota, U.P. Michigan, Iowa, and northern Illinois to individuals who pay with a major credit card. Northern Illinois would include north of Peoria. Customers paying with a check card, debit card or cash are given 150 free miles per day. Any additional miles driven outside of the above-mentioned areas, will be charged at the rate of 20 cents per mile over the 150 free miles per day, for the duration of the rental.

    Return of Rental Vehicle

    The rented vehicle is the property of Showroom Shine Auto Rentals and must be returned to us on the date shown on your rental agreement, or earlier if demanded by us, together with all tires, tools, accessories and equipment, in the same condition as when received by you, other than for ordinary wear and tear. If the rented vehicle is returned to us at any place other than our address listed, or other place designated by us, you will be required to pay us a return service charge of $1.50 per mile. We may peacefully repossess the rented vehicle, without demand, whereer found and terminate this rental agreement if the rented vehicle is illegally parked, is used in violation of law or of this agreement, or was obtained as a result of any misstatement or fraud, or is aparently abandoned. We will not in any way be liable to you for damages resulting from such repossession nor shall we be responsible for the loss or damage to any of your property in the rented vehicle.

    Amounts Due Us

    You shall pay on demand:

    • 1. All time and mileage charges as computed on the rental agreement form with mileage determined by reading the factory-installed vehicle odometer. You shall not detach the odometer and shall pay for its repair or placement if any seal has been broken, along with a mileage charge equivalent to the average charge developed from our experience;

    • 2. The basic or minium rate, and other charges shown on the agreement form.

    • 3. A refueling charge if the rented vehicle is returned with less gasoline than when rented;

    • 4. All sales, use, excise or other taxes required to be paid by us because of this agreement;

    • 5. All fines, penalties, forfeitures, court costs and out-of-pocket expenses incurred by us with respect to your use of the rented vehicle including parking, traffic or other violations assessed agains us, the rente vehicle or you, unless due to our fault;

    • 6. Our costs and expenses including parking, traffic or other violations assessed agains us, the rented vehicle or you, unless due to our fault;

    • 7. Amy amounts owed to us because of damage to the rented vehicle as specified in the section about damages.

    Damage To The Rented Vehicle

    You were not offered a Damage Waiver. A Damage Waiver has not been offered or you, you and any authorized driver will be liable for any physical and mechanical damage to the rented vehicle caused by an accident or by your intentional, reckless or wanton misconduct, not to exceed all the following:

    (1) the the lesser of (a) the actual and reasonable costs that we incurred to repair the rented vehcile or that we would have incurred if the rented vehicle had been repaired (after deducting any discounts,m price reductions or adjustments available to us) or (b) the fair market value of the rented vehicle immediately before the damage occurred; and

    (2) the actual and reasonable costs incurred by us for towing the rented vehicle and for storage of it for no more than ten days. In addition, if this is not a private passenger vehicle rental, you will be liable to us for all other losses, liabilities, damages, injuries, claims, demands, costs and expenses, including, without limitation, the cost of repair, diminuation in value of the rented vehicle, towing and storage charges and any loss of use of the rented vehicle, which result from phyisical or mechanical damage to the rented vehicle during the term of your agreement.

    Unauthorized Driver Damage: Any unauthorized driver will be liable to us for all damage to the rented vehicle, except that (1) your spouse (if a licensed driver and at least the minimum age of 21), or (2) your employer, employee or coworker (if engaged in a business activity with you, a licensed driver, and at least 21 years old) or (3) a person operating the rented vehicle during an emergency or while parking it at a commercial or private establishment, will be liable only to the same extent as you and an authorized driver would be udner the above damage policy information.

    Prohibited Use

    The rented vehicle shall not be used:

    1. while the driver is under the influence of any intoxicant or other drug;

    2. in a race or speed or endurance contest;

    3. in the commission of any crime or other illegal activity;

    4. unless otherwise expressly authorized by us in writing, to carry persons or property for wage or profit;

    5. outside the United States without our prior written consent;

    6. on any surface not intended for use by such vehicle.;

    7. by any person not expressly authorized to drive the vehicle under the terms of this agreement.

    8. to push or tow any vehicle except the towing of a single axle hitch installed by or for us. You may not install any bumper, clamp-on or other type of trailer hitch. You may also not sub-rent the rented vehicle. If the rented vehicle is obtained from us by fraud or is misrepresentation or is obtained or used in furtherance of an illegal purpose all use of the rented vehicle is without our permission..

    9. Vehicle shall not be used for transporting persons or property for hir or driver training.

    10. Vehicle shall not be used to carry passengers in excess of the number of seat belts provided by manufacturer.

    11. Renter shall not remove any seats from the vehicle.

    12.Vehicle shall not be operated by any one who has given fictitious name, false addresss, false or invalid driver's license; whose driver's license becomes invalid during the rental period; who has obtained the keys without permission of owner; or who misrepresents or withholds facts to/from owner material to rental, use or operation of vehicle.

    13. Renter shall not transfer or assign their agreement and/or sublease vehicle.

    14. Vehicle shall not be used to transport explosives, chemicals, corrosives or other hazardous materials or pollutants of any kind or nature.

    Indemnity.

    By renting the rented vehicle from Showroom Shine Auto Rentals, you agree to release, defend, indemnify, and hold us, our agents and employees, harmless from all claims for loss or damage of any property left in, on or about the rented vehicle, even before or after its return to us, or on our premises, unless such damage occurs as a result of our intentional, reckless or wanton misconduct. You further agree to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from and against any and all losses, liabilities, damages, injuries, claims, demands, costs, and expenses arising out of your use or possession of the rented vehicle including, but not limited to, any claims of all fines, penalties, and forfeitures imposed under any law or insurance policy provision and any claims of, or liabilities to, third persons arising out of the use of the rented vehicle whyile under your agreement.

    No Agency.

    Neither you nor any authorized driver are authorized to act as our agent for any reason or for any purpose. During the term of your agreement, you will have exclusive possession, control and use of the rented vehicle and shall completely assume full responsibility for the rented vehicle to the public and any regulatory body having jurisdiction.

    Repairs.

    You may not permit any repairs to the rented vehicle or allow any lien to be placed on the rented vehicle without prior consent. You will be fully liable for any repairs made without prior consent.

    Responsibility To Third Parties

    Showroom Shine Auto Rentals complies with applicable motor vehicle financial responsibility laws as a state certified self-insurer, bondholder, or cash depositer. Except to the extent required by the motor vehicle financial responsibility laws of Wisconsin or otherwise by law, Showroom Shine Auto Rentals does not extend any of its motor vehicle financial responsibility or provide insurance coverage to the renter, additional authorized driver(s), passengers or third parties through your agreement. If valid automobile liability insurance or self insurance is available on any basis of renter, additional authorized driver(s) or any other driver and such insurance or self insurance satisfies the applicable Wisconsin motor vehicle financial responsibility law, then Showroom Shine Auto Rentals extends none of its motor vehicle financial responsiblity. However, if renter and AAD are in compliance with the terms and conditions of their agreement and if Showroom Shine Auto Rentals is obligated to extend its motor vehicle financial responsibility to the renter. Additional Authorized Driver(s) or third parties, then Showroom Shine Auto Rental's obligation is limited to the Wisconsin minimum financial responsibility amounts. Unless required by law, Showroom Shine Auto Rentals financial responsibility shall not extend to any claim made by a passenger while riding in or on or getting in or out of the vehicle. Showroom Shine Auto Rentals fianancial responsibility shall not extend to liability imposed or assumed by anyone under any workers compensation act, plan or contract.

    Third Party Proceeds

    If a third party, including, without limitation, an insurance, an insurance company, authorizes payment of any amount owed by the renter under their agreement, the renter assigns to Showroom Shine Auto Rentals, the renter's right to receive such payment. Only those amounts actually paid by a third party to Showroom Shine Auto Rentals shall reduce the amount owed by the renter under their agreement; provided however, certain third parties may have agreed to pay Showroom Shine Auto Rentals a flat fee for this rental in lieu of Showroom Shine Auto Rentals "/day" charges or the per diem benefits under the applicable insurance policy. In such an event the flat fee might exceed or be less than: the normal "/day" charges as calculated under their agreement; or theper diem benefits. Regardless of the amounts paid under such flat fee agreement, theird party payments shall not be applied to: vehicle upgrades or optional products (beyond those provided by the third party); or, rental days beyond those specified by the third party. The renter remains responsible for all charges not paid by the third parties, such as charges for vehicle upgrades, optional products, extra rental days, and all other charges.

    Power of Attorney

    The renter grants and appoints by agreement to Showroom Shine Auto Rentals a Limited Power of Attorney:

    a. To present insurance claims of any type to the renter's insurance carrier if:

    1. Vehicle is damaged, lost or stolen during the rental period and if the renter fails to pay for any damages; or

    2. Any liability claims agains Showroom Shine Auto Rentals arise in connection with their rental transaction and the renter fails to defend, indemnify and hold Showroom Shine Auto Rentals harmless from such claims;

    b. To endorse the renter's name to entitle Showroom Shine Auto Rentals to receive insurance payments directly for such claims, damages, liabilities or rental charges.

    Severability

    If any provisions of your agreement is determined to be unlawful, contrary to public policy, void or unenforceable, all remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

    Limitation Of Remedy/No Consequential Damages

    If Showroom Shine Auto Rentals breaches any of its obligations under your agreement and/or if the vehicle has any mechanical failure or other failure not caused by the renter and if Showroom Shine Auto Rentals is liable under Wisconsin law for such breach or vehicle failure, Showroom Shine Auto Rentals' sole liability to the renter and and the renter's sole remedy is limited to the substitution of another similar vehicle by Showroom Shine Auto Rentals to the renter and to recovery by the renter of the pro rata daily rental rate for the periord in which the renter did not have use of the vehicle or substitute vehicle. THE RENTER WAIVES ALL CLAIMS FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, AND INCIDENTAL DAMAGES THAT MIGHT OTHERWISE BE AVAILABLE TO THE REENTER, SUCH DAMAGES ARE EXCLUDED AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE RENTER.

    Release Of Information To Third Parties

    Showroom Shine Auto Rentals may, and renter expressly authorizes them to provide information in Showroom Shine Auto Rentals' possession about the renter and additional authorized driver(s), including but not limited to such driver's name, address and driver's license information to: applicable authorities, or other tghird parties, in connection with Showroom Shine Auto Rentals' enforcement of its rights under their agreement.
